Registration is now required to use toll-free numbers for SMS. Please note that any toll-free number not registered by November 8, 2023 will be not be able to send SMS until the registration is submitted.
Mobile carriers and aggregators are requiring registration to ensure messages are compliant with their guidelines, as well as to help identify real businesses and cut down on spam. Failure to register will result in SMS being disabled on your toll-free number.
There are currently no fees for toll-free number SMS registration.
The ability to send/ receive SMS on toll-free numbers may be disabled on November 8, 2023. This only impacts toll-free numbers, and is specific to the ability for toll-free numbers to send or receive SMS. Voice, fax, and other functionality will not be impacted.
